Agile Combat


Quick Stance (Ability – Stance) (2 exp):

Requires: Training in Melee

Quick Action – Light or no armor

You gain 1 boon on your first attack roll each round with a light melee weapon as long as you wield a light melee weapon in one hand and no other weapon in your other hand.

If you have more than two hands, you can only wield one weapon in order to benefit from this ability.

If you have more than one light natural weapon, you can still benefit from this stance.

Stances

Characters can only benefit from one stance at a time.
It takes a quick action to enter, change or leave a stance.


Quick Draw (Passive) (2 exp):

Requires: Training in Initiative

Once per turn, you can draw or stow one item from your Equipped Items section as a free action instead of a quick action.


Quick (Passive) (2 exp): 

Requires: Training in Defense

You gain the following bonuses depending on your armor:

  • Light or no armor: You gain 1 reroll or 1 focus on defense skill rolls.
  • Medium armor: You gain 1 focus on defense skill rolls.

Elusive (Passive) (2 exp): 

Requires: Quick

Light or no armor

You gain 1 boon on skill rolls against attacks of opportunity.


Hard to Catch (Passive) (2 exp): 

Requires: Quick

Light or no armor

You gain 1 boon on skill rolls against physical maneuver attacks.


Escapist (Passive) (1 exp):

Requires: Training in Acrobatics or Defense

Light or no armor

You gain 1 boon on rolls made to escape grapples or similar situations.


Between the Plates (Passive) (2 exp):

Requires: 2 exp spent in Agile Combat

Light melee weapons that you wield gain the Armor Penetration property.

Weapons can only apply the Armor Penetration passive once.

Armor Penetration (Passive)

You gain [1d8] on damage rolls with this weapon against characters toughness 4 or higher.


Evasive (Passive) (2 exp):

Requires: 4 exp spent in Agile Combat

Light or no armor

You gain 1 boon on skill rolls against area effects.

Some examples of area effects are explosions and area spells.


Sudden Stance (Ability – Stance) (2 exp):

Requires: 4 exp spent in Agile Combat

Quick Action – Light or no armor

When attacking with light weapons, you can explode damage rolls with a natural 9 or 10 when attacking characters that haven’t acted yet during the current round of combat.

Stances

Characters can only benefit from one stance at a time.
It takes a quick action to enter, change or leave a stance.


Reactionary Stance (Ability – Stance) (2 exp):

Requires one of the following:

  • 8 exp spent in Defensive Combat
  • 6 exp spent in Agile Combat

Quick Action

You have 2 reactions per round.

Stances

Characters can only benefit from one stance at a time.
It takes a quick action to enter, change or leave a stance.


Mobile Combat


Fast (Passive) (2 exp): 

Requires: Strength 3 or Training in Athletics

Medium, light or no armor

You gain +5 speed (unique talent bonus).


Fast II (Passive) (2 exp):

Requires: Fast

Light or no armor

Fast grants you +10 speed instead (unique talent bonus).


Quick Recovery (Passive) (1 exp):

Requires: Agility 3 or Training in Acrobatics

Medium, light or no armor

It takes you 1 quick action and a quarter of your speed to stand up from prone.

Normally, a character can spend 1 action and half their speed (rounded down) for the rest of the turn to stand up from prone.


Dash (Maneuver) (2 exp): 

Requires: 4 exp spent in Speed and Nimbleness

Quick Action – Light or no armor

You move 10 paces in a straight line without provoking attacks of opportunity. You cannot perform the Move, Quick Step and Dash maneuvers in the same turn, and you can only perform this maneuver once per turn. Any condition or effect that does not allow you to Move or make a Quick Step also applies to this maneuver.


Reactive Step (Passive) (2 exp):

Requires: 6 exp spent in Speed and Nimbleness

Light or no armor

You can make a Quick Step when a character fails an attack against you in melee.
